Brand new cutting edge Desktop computers cost a lot of money, but because technology advances so quickly, they become out of date very quickly. What was a cutting edge desktop pc 6 months ago will be a cheap desktop today.

Buying a new desktop is probably the best option. There are many cheap desktops for sale on Amazon. The good thing about buying from Amazon is that the prices are always cheaper than buying in a shop, plus you get fast delivery and a lengthy guarantee.
The other great thing about Amazon is that there is such a wide range of choices for people looking for a cheap desktop. If you go to PC World on the other hand, you will only find the latest models and although the prices are competitive, they are still not as cheap as buying online. They certainly don’t fall into the category of cheap desktop.
You can find many bargains online, not just at Amazon but at other online retailers, you only have to look around at the advertising on the internet to see that there really is a wide range of choices for those looking to pick up a cheap desktop.
One word of warning though, don’t expect a cutting edge games machine or video editing suite if you’re looking to pick up something cheap. If you are planning on doing some word processing or just surf the internet, you can pick up a very cheap desktop computer that can do all of that easily.
The rule of thumb when buying any computer or other piece of technological hardware is: don’t waste your money on the latest model. You will always spend way above the odds if you try and get the latest model. Within a few months it’s price will have been slashed.
